Attractions and Local Activities

Beach
Miles of gently sloping white sandy beach are just outside our door. Free pedestrain access to the beach is offered. You can walk on the beach barefoot or sunbathe.

Bicycling or Jogging
Bicycling and Jogging can be enjoyed on the 23 miles of beach. Bicycle rentals located directly on the beach and numerous locations nearby. The hard packed sand is perfect for jogging or cycling.

Boating
All types of boat rentals are available at several locations in the area. The Halifax Harbor Marina is only two miles away, and public boat launch facilities are also nearby.

Casino
Tickets for the SunCruz Casino Boat are available at the Front Desk. Two casino cruises are usally offered every day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. A shuttle bus picks up passengers at the hotel for the Casino boat. The Daytona Beach Kennel Club also offers daily greyhound dog races for excitement.

Children's Activities
Children can swim in the outdoor pool, sit in the whirlpool bath, play in the sand on the beach, or visit the Sunsplash Park next door.

Diving and Snorkeling
Diving services are available at nearby Spruce Creek Scuba and the Discover Diving center.

Fine Dining
A variety of fine dining experiences are available around town. Ask our staff for assistance to find the cuisine you desire.

Fishing
Harbour Beach Resort is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Bring your pole along and try your luck from shore or stop at the Main Street Pier and rent a pole. If you're feeling really lucky - plan a day on a charter boat and catch a big one.

Fitness Center or Gym
There are a number of gyms and fitness centers within easy driving distance.

Golf Course
The area is home to more than a dozen courses by top designers for golfers of all abilities. Daytona Beach City Golf Course offers inexpensive facilities in the area, while LPGA International offers two challenging courses and some of the best practice facilities anywhere.

Museums and Galleries
While staying in Daytona Beach, take in some local history. Daytona Beach has a fine selection of museums, such as the Museum of Arts and Sciences, Halifax Historical Museum, and the Southeast Museum of Photography. There is also the historical Ponce de Leon lighthouse nearby.

Nature Preserves and Trails
Just minutes north of Daytona, Tomoka State Park is the site of a former Timucuan Indian Village and Bulow Ruins is the remains of a 19th century sugar plantation. The beach itself offers an excellent opportunity for wildlife watching as well.

Tennis
Daytona Beach's City Tennis Center is just a few miles away.

Theater
Popular movies are offered daily at the Ocean Walk Village theatres (located one mile north of the hotel). Stage performances are offered periodically at the Seaside Music Theatre, located on Beach Street. The Ocean Center and Peabody Auditorium bring nationally touring acts to Daytona Beach year round.

Tour Bus
The Daytona Beach Trolley Boat offers a unique experience with an amphibious tour of the city, beach, and river. The trolley boats dispatch from the Ocean Walk Village shops for a 75 minute tour.

Water Activities
Water activities such as parasailing, jet skiing, four wheeling, etc. are available. Vendors are not affiliated with the hotel but rental for some can be set up through the hotel. All have fees and vary by vendor. Rental for beach chairs and umbrellas are also available.
